Happy November! We are grateful for all of you and your support of our After School Program!
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS :
Grades K-2: Students have been busy doing all sorts of Halloween/fall inspired activities and had a great time decorating cookies for Halloween. We are having weekly visits from the Pacific County Peace of Mind group. (POMPC) They spend a couple of hours on Wednesdays leading Crafts and games.
Grades 3-5: Students have been participating in a number of different clubs. Some of their favorites are running club, cooking club, and tech club. Artist Iris is now coming once a week, and students are creating wonderful art both collectively and individually.
Grades 6-12: Students had a great time swimming at the Dunes Pool and visiting the climbing wall at The Ocean Park Retreat Center last week. E-sports is going strong, and teams have won a couple of matches. They have also been busy bedazzling!

We are looking for parents and guardians to join our DJHCC Advisory Committee for the 26-27 school year! Your ideas and perspective are valuable to us in planning and implementing the best possible environment for all students! Meetings will be held once a month at DJH Community Center.
