3rd - 5th Grade After School Program is designed to help kids practice friendship skills, get academic enrichment, expose them to new opportunities, and challenge them to get out of their comfort zone.

Kids need a chance to explore new things and be challenged. Our specialty programs do just that. Different clubs & activities allow kids the chance to engage in new and exciting things, all while learning.

We want kids to explore and have a safe space to make mistakes. Trusted adult mentors allow for kids to just be kids while they navigate new ideas, make friends, and engage in both academic & social emotional enrichment.

Typical Daily Schedule

Ocean Park After School Program is located in Ilwaco at the Community Center.

Students arrive via bus from OPE, do the daily check-in, and have snack.

After Snack, Students transition to the first rotation. This rotation includes some sort of academic enrichment component. This might be math activities, reading time, or STEM-based projects.

The second rotation is choice-based and includes day-specific activities like nature club, running club, drama club, LEGO club, board game club, and more.

Specialty programs, like Art, Ceramics, and Cooking Club, happen throughout the week and sometimes include special guests or visiting staff.

All students must be picked up or on the bus by 5:45 pm.
